I am trying to get a full time job, and am even on Unemployment, but it’s like pennies. And they subtract some from it if I report my earnings, which I have to do since I am still employed part time.

An absolutely CRITICAL part of mermaid social etiquette is to ALWAYS swim around head height with other mermaids. This prevents both mermaids from harming each other via their tails, fins, and other appendages.

This etiquette is also intended to symbolize equality – regardless of whether you’re a coastal mermaid, a small freshwater mermaid, or a 50ft tall deep sea mermaid, everybody is deserving of equal stature.

My partner Nao/Alice is currently really struggling with severe abuse and needs to get out of zis current housing situation due to zis father, who abuses zim daily. Ze is not even allowed to use the kitchen anymore, not having access to food or water. Nao’s safety and mental well-being is greatly at risk.
